In March, Lithuania hosted its largest education forum, Education Code, organised by the Lrytas news portal, the Ministry of Education, Vytautas Magnus University, and the British Council.
This year’s event saw a record turnout, with over 2,000 participants, more than 60 presentations and discussions, and over 160 speakers offering innovative ideas across five thematic halls. The insights shared by these experts provided valuable guidance, fostering bold decisions and forward-thinking changes in the education sector.
The British Council played a significant role through its People to People programme, where it delivered a presentation and facilitated four discussions on the following topics:
- The impact of cultural education
- The challenges posed by multilingualism in the context of global change
- The significance of international education
- Leadership development and the synergy between education and business
- The future of the teaching profession and the development of 21st-century skills
